Preview

After 20 games in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will lock horns with each other at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The defending champions are yet to win a game in this edition of the league while RCB have bagged three wins in four games so far. Faf du Plessis will be eager to take on his ex-team. Meanwhile, CSK will have a lot to correct when they take the field on Tuesday.

Pitch Report

The pitch at DY Patil Stadium has been easier to bat on. The pace and bounce in the wickets can be trusted. For bowlers, there is not much help, but pacers can exploit the swing on offer early in the innings.

Team Analysis

Chennai Super Kings:

Chennai have struggled to get going in this tournament so far and they have a lot of weaknesses to address. In some games, they have failed to chase a total while in some they have failed to defend. Ravindra Jadeja's captaincy has not worked well for the defending champions as the all-rounder looks nervous while making decisions even after captaining in 4 games. In the absence of Deepak Chahar, Chennai does not have a potent bowling lineup. Their batting is still to fire, especially Ruturaj Gaikwad.

SportsTiger Playing XI of CSK

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja (c), Shivam Dube, MS Dhoni (wk), Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan, Maheesh Theekshana, Mukesh Choudhary

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Royal Challengers Bangalore have looked like a more settled side as compared to Chennai. They have the right opening pair in Anuj Rawat and Faf du Plessis. Virat Kohli also seems to have found his mojo back. The middle order gets further strengthened with the arrival of Glenn Maxwell. Dinesh Karthik has donned the finisher's role with perfection. Shahnaz Ahmad also has shown that he can hit it long too. The bowling is doing well but Siraj's form is a concern. The pacer has remained wicketless in the last two games and has also leaked runs. There are clouds hovering over Harshal Patel's availability as well.

SportsTiger Playing XI of RCB

Anuj Rawat, Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Shahbaz Ahmad, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Siddarth Kaul, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj

Match Prediction

Conclusion

RCB are a more settled side, and they have the form on their side as well. So, they remain the favorites to win Tuesday's game.
