Preview:

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns on Saturday evening at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. While Bangalore are currently sitting at the second position in the points tally with 5 wins and 2 defeats, Hyderabad are not too far behind with 4 wins and 2 defeats. Their face-off promises to be an exciting affair in what is the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday.

Pitch Report:

The Brabourne Stadium has been a beautiful wicket that assists seam and swing early on but eases off as the game progresses. The spinners also get a hint of purchase from the wicket but the power hitters, as well as elegant stroke makers, fancy their chances to clear the fence. With dew being a factor, the team winning the toss would look to bowl first.

Team Analysis

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

It's high time Royal Challengers Bangalore resolve their top-order batting woes. The team has been over-reliant on their middle order and while Faf du Plessis has had a couple of good scores under his belt, Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli have struggled to get going.

Their bowling has been better compared to previous seasons but the form of Mohammed Siraj could be crucial along with Josh Hazlewood and Harshal Patel who have been exceptional. The stand-out has been Wanindu Hasaranga in the spin department.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

While they lost two games on the trot to begin their campaign, SRH have now won four back-to-back matches. The Kane Williamson-led side would be looking to continue their winning spree. Rahul Tripathi has been the stand-out batter for the franchise while Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram have been great in finishing off games. More could be expected from the skipper himself at the top.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and T Natarajan form the crux of their bowling and seem to be going from strength to strength as the tournament progresses.

Match Prediction

Conclusion:

Hyderabad not only have a better record over Bangalore in head to head in IPL but have been one of the most improved sides after their disappointing performances in the first two matches. Given they are on a four-match winning run, predicting Hyderabad to win this contest.
