Preview
Mumbai Indians have been knocked out of the tournament and thus the results won’t matter to them anymore. But the Rohit Sharma-led team is enjoying spoiling other team’s parties. In their last game, MI spoiled Chennai Super Kings’ qualification chances and now they face SRH in their next game. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad have spoiled their chances themselves with five losses on the trot. The Kane Williamson-led side has now very slim chances of finishing it into the top four. So, it will be interesting to see if they keep their hopes alive with a big win over MI or if Mumbai knocks them out too.
Pitch Report
The Wankhede pitch has been a tough one to bat on. In the last two games played at the venue, teams have struggled to score runs. So, it is expected to be the same way for Match 65. Bowlers, especially pacers will enjoy a bit of help.
Team Analysis
Mumbai Indians:
Mumbai have nothing to lose and they are looking to enjoy themselves in the rest of the games. MI looked fiery against Chennai as they bowled out the opposition for a mere 97. However, they too struggled to chase it down. Nonetheless, Tilak Varma once again stepped up and bailed his team out of trouble. With Suryakumar not a part of the eleven, Mumbai asked Daniel Sams to bat at No.3 but it doesn’t look like a long-term option. Dewald Brevis may return to acquire that position for MI.
SportsTiger Playing XI of MI
Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma, Ramandeep Singh, Tim David, Daniel Sams, Kumar Kartikeya, Hrithik Shokeen, Jasprit Bumrah, Riley Meredith
Sunrisers Hyderabad:
The SRH management looks clueless after five consecutive defeats. Nothing seems to be working for the Kane Williamson-led side. The captain himself has not performed at the top of the order. In their last game against KKR, despite bowling well, SRH lost because of hapless batting. But, Hyderabad cannot make a lot of changes as they played their best team in the last game. And they may continue with the same side in the next game as well.
SportsTiger Playing XI of SRH
Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh, Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Umran Malik
Match Prediction
Conclusion
Mumbai have no pressure and also have the momentum with them. Meanwhile, SRH have their qualification chances at stake and are on a losing spree as well.
