The Indian Premier League (IPL) may still be at least a good 7-8 weeks away but a lot of talk is already going on regarding the blockbuster T20 tournament. Even before the actual action commences, there is the all-important mega auction where half of the tournament could be won by acquiring the right resources to build teams that could win championships. With less than two weeks to go for the auction later this month, the final list of players set to go under the hammer in the event was released on Tuesday
The list includes a total of 590 cricketers. While 228 among these are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations. Moreover, other than the 8 existing franchisee, two new franchisees have joined the auction table and they are the Lucknow Super Giants and Team Ahmedabad which make this year a 10-team tournament.
