What an extraordinary journey this has been for MS Dhoni. While he already announced retirement from international cricket in 2020, he is still part of the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. It is no secret that he is in the twilight of his career and the legendary cricketer knows this as well as he already stepped down as the captain of the team, in a bid to prepare the franchise for the coming years.

And now Dhoni was spotted wearing an orange pair of gloves, much like the one he used to wear right at the very beginning of his international career. This could perhaps be a hint that the end of his franchise cricket career might also be coming towards an end. As soon as Dhoni was seen wearing the orange gloves, several pictures have gone viral on the internet, comparing his present self to the long-haired lad that announced his arrival at the international cricket in 2004.

Check out the visuals here:

Ever since the news of Dhoni's decision to step down as the CSK captain has come to the fore, there have been all sorts of reactions pouring in on social media. The one which has caught the attention of the netizens is that of Virat Kohli who shared a picture of himself in RCB colours hugging the ex-CSK skipper.

"Legendary captaincy tenure in yellow skip. A chapter fans will never forget. Respect always. ❤️? @msdhoni," he captioned the picture which has gone viral in no time.

Meanwhile, CSK have been handed a blow after Moeen Ali was ruled out of the first match due to a delay in the procurement of visa. They are already dealing with an injury concern of Deepak Chahar. It would be interesting to see what combination new captain Ravindra Jadeja decides to go ahead with in the tournament opener against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26.
