After a successful auction, Punjab Kings are looking like one of the best teams in the league. Their owner Ness Wadia touted their 2022 squad as their all-time best. Hence they would love to end their trophy drought and lift their maiden IPL title.
Led by the young Mayank Agarwal, Punjab have an explosive batting lineup. But on the contrary, they have a slightly inexperienced bowling attack that cost them a few games and hinder their chances of reaching the top. Their first match is against Royal Challenger Bangalore at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
Format:
Punjab Kings are in Group B alongside Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Gujarat Giants and will face them two times each. They will also play twice against Delhi Capitals from Group A. While they will face the remaining teams once.
