Prediction-of-Game

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has kicked off in some style. As many as 11 games have been played till now and to everyone's surprise, the two most successful teams in the tournament, Mumbai and Chennai are yet to win a game. While Chennai have lost three games one after the other, Mumbai have lost two of their two games.

Meanwhile, champions of the inaugural edition of the tournament, Rajasthan Royals have been invincible so far in the season. They became the first team to win both matches by defending a total as they beat Hyderabad in the first game and Mumbai in their second game of the season by 61 and 23 runs respectively. Now Sanju Samson and Co. will have their eyes set on third consecutive win when they face Bangalore on Tuesday.

But will that happen? What are the odds of Rajasthan winning the game and every other possibility? Let's look at them here:

1. Toss Prediction

The first and foremost thing a captain looks at before the game starts is to call it right at the flip of the coin. Faf du Plessis and Sanju Samson, both will look to get it right. But the numbers go in du Plessis' favor as the RCB captain has lost one out of two tosses while Sanju Samson is yet to win a toss this season. Looking at last five tosses for both teams, RCB have won four while RR have won only two. So, it can be RCB once again who get to decide whether to bowl or bat first.

2. Win Possibility

RCB and RR have played a total of 25 matches against each other in the history of the Indian Premier League and RCB have won 12 of them. Meanwhile, RR have managed to win 10 games. Three games have ended in no result. But looking at last five games for both teams, RR have won 3 games while RCB have got success in only two. In IPL 2022 as well, RR have remained undefeated while RCB have lost one game. So, although it looks like it is going to be a tough contest, RR will have an upper hand on Tuesday and might also get away with a win.

3. Team of the day

Both teams worked hard in the auctions and built a strong and balanced team on paper. But RR have looked a more complete side as compared to RCB. So, the team of the day for Match 13 should be Rajasthan.

4. Powerplay score

There have been plenty of games played in IPL 2022 to give an idea of what can happen in the first six overs of the match between Rajasthan and Bangalore. Since the match is being played at the Wankhede Stadium, the average powerplay score has been 44.5 in this season. Meanwhile, Bangalore's average powerplay score in IPL 2022 so far is 38.5 for the loss of 1.5 wickets. Rajasthan, on the other hand, have managed to score 53 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in the first six overs. So, in Tuesday's game, RR's powerplay score is expected to remain above 50 runs while RCB's powerplay score is expected to remain below 45 runs.

5. Average first innings and second innings score

The average first innings total at Wankhede Stadium in this season has been 142 while the average second innings score here has been 151.5.
