The stage is all set for the Royals’ derby on May 27 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will lock horns in another must-win game for both teams. While RR found their way to Qualifier 2 after losing to Gujarat Titans (GT) in Qualifier 1. Meanwhile, RCB booked a place in Qualifier 2 after defeating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator.

Now, with the left place in the summit clash up for grabs, both teams will give it their best in the match on Friday. It is going to be an exciting battle with two top teams of IPL 2022 fighting for a place in the final. While RR are coming on the back of a loss, RCB have registered two consecutive wins. Faf du Plessis has been a bit unlucky with the coin. In the last five games, du Plessis has lost three tosses. But his counterpart, Sanju Samson has an even worse record with the toss this season. Samson has lost 12 out of 15 tosses this season. In the last five games, he has lost four. So, Faf is expected to call it right at the toss in Qualifier 2.

The head-to-head record between Rajasthan and Bangalore is led by RCB 13-11. One game has ended in no result. In IPL 2022, both teams have played against each other two times and have won a game each. Now looking at the results for both teams in the last five games. While RCB have won four of their last five games, RR have won three. So, considering all the factors, Faf du Plessis’ RCB look like the favourite to win Qualifier 2.
