With IPL 2022 into its business end, every game becomes important for all ten teams. The quality of cricket being played in the tournament has not given a clear picture of which four teams will play the knockout games. Although Gujarat, Lucknow, and Mumbai have their fates almost decided, the rest of the teams are still fighting hard for a place in the last four.

Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are also among those teams who are closely watching every game. Both teams have played eleven games so far in the tournament where RR have won seven while DC have won five. Now, they will square off against each other on Wednesday (11 May) in what will be the 12th league game for both teams. With two-point on offer and a playoff berth at stake, both RR and DC will give 200% to ensure the result goes their way.

But what are the odds for both teams ahead of the big clash? Let's find out.

1. Toss Prediction

Toss has played an important role this season. Captains have preferred to bowl and plan their chase after winning the toss. Coming to both teams' luck with the coin, Rajasthan have lost four of their last five tosses while Delhi have won three of the last five tosses. Thus, Rishabh Pant is expected to win the toss in Match 58.

2. Win Possibility

The head-to-head record suggests that there have been some close battles fought between the two teams with Rajasthan enjoying a slight edge over Delhi (13-12 in 25 games). Also, in IPL 2022, RR have defeated DC in the first encounter. So, Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan are expected to take the game home one more time when the two teams meet on Wednesday.

3. Team of the Day

Considering all aspects, Rajasthan Royals look like a more complete team as compared to Delhi Capitals. In batting, RR are ahead with Jos Buttler leading the lineup. Sanju Samson and Yashaswi Jaiswal have been able supporters. In bowling, RR have the spin maestro Yuzvendra Chahal along with Trent Boult, R Ashwin, and Prasidh Krishna.

4. Powerplay Score

The average powerplay score at DY Patil Stadium in IPL 2022 has been 42.3. Rajasthan have managed to score around 50 runs in the first six overs of every game while Delhi are a tad ahead with an average powerplay score of around 55. So, in Match 58, the powerplay score for RR is expected to remain within 45-50 while for DC it is expected to be 50-55.

5. Average first and second innings score

The average first innings score in the last five games at DY Patil Stadium has been 166 while the average second innings score has been 137.
