Delhi Capitals winning the toss opted to field first and restricted Rajasthan Royals for 160/6 with the help of brilliant bowling performance from Chetan Sakariya and Mitchell Marsh. Ravichandran Ashwin came into bat at number 3 position and scored a brilliant fifty while his partner at the other end Devdutt Padikkal also looked promising and smashed 48 from 30 balls.
Delhi despite losing their opener KS Bharat for a duck, had a 144-run partnership between David Warner and Mitchell Marsh. Mitchell Marsh's brilliant 89 with the bat ensured the game went out of hands for Rajasthan while Warner played beautiful anchor role and the skipper Rishabh Pant came in at number 4 position to finish off things in style for DC.
