SRH's pace sensation Umran Malik has been making a lot of news lately in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League due to his ability to bowl over 150 kmph plus speed. The likes of Michael Vaughan and Harsha Bhogle have already joined the league to shower praise on J&K's sensational bowler. Not just that, but voices for Malik's inclusion in the national squad have been rising ever since he showed his potential in the T20 domestic tournament.

During the team's previous clash against Gujarat Titans, Malik once again set a new benchmark by delivering the fastest delivery of the competition as he clocked 153.3 kmph at the DY Patil Stadium. His earlier best in the tournament was 153.1 kmph against Chennai Super Kings. Recently, Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowling coach Dale Steyn called Umran Malik his inspiration during a Q&A session on Twitter.

Notably, a cricket fan asked Steyn to name his inspiration. In response, the former Proteas pacer named Umran Malik as his inspiration and further informed that he has suggested the young pacer not to lose pace, but add some variation to his bowling.

Steyn tweeted, "Anyone can bowl 130-135, But yes, some variety in his skills will take him a long way forward." Adding further, the SRH bowling coach said that Malik would feature heavily in the team.
