Resurgent Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Lucknow Super Giants, which is riding high on the shoulders of in-form KL Rahul on Saturday evening at MCA, Pune. Lucknow is placed at second place in the points table with 14 points, while KKR languishes in eighth place. Shreyas Iyer-led side will be eager to win the match to remain in the tournament, but a clash against Lucknow will be no less than an uphill task for Kolkata.

KL Rahul has led from the front as he has amassed 451 runs from ten matches, with two hundred and as many fifties. He is the second-highest run-getter in the season. Rahul played yet another crucial knock of 77 runs against Delhi Capitals. However, Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee, Shivam Mavi and Sunil Narine would be keen to put the brakes on Rahul. For Lucknow, Quinton de Kock, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda need to add more runs and take greater responsibility. A lot will also depend on how hard-hitting all-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder perform.

Ravi Bishnoi and K Gowtham can pose a tough challenge to Kolkata batters. Baba Indrajith replaced Venkatesh Iyer in the previous match, and the former will have a huge responsibility to provide a solid start. Aaron Finch has not performed up to his reputation, and the senior-pro needs to buckle up. Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh were phenomenal in their last clash, and management will expect similar performance from both the middle-order batters.

Both the sides will be keen to register a thumping victory in the upcoming clash, and the contest will surely be a mouth-watering clash. Let’s look at details regarding when and where to watch the match.
