There have been several reports of a rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. While both of them are central figures in Indian cricket and while one is the ex-captain and the other has taken over, there have been reports in the past that have suggested that all is not well between the two stalwarts. However, when Virat was on the field playing under Rohit Sharma for the first time in the ODI series opener against the West Indies, pictures that have emerged convey a different story.

The two seemed to share a great camaraderie on the field during various moments in the match. While the two were all happy and pumped as they together celebrated the fall of a West Indies wicket with skipper Kieron Pollard departing the first ball, a Virat Kohli advice later earned Team India a correct DRS referral which forced the umpire to overturn his decision and raise his finger.

Moments after the visuals emerged, fans have taken to social media to share the images. As far as the match is concerned, India have been dominant right from the word go in what is their 1000th ODI. The Men in Blue won the toss, opted to bowl first and have reduced the Caribbean to 94/7 in 27 overs till the filing time of this report.

Deepak Hooda is making his ODI debut in this game and Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar have been the pick of the bowlers so far. Notably, the Indian camp has been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and consequently, several players were not available for selection in this game with KL Rahul opting out due to personal reasons.
