The 2022 Indian Premier League brings its fans two new teams, the Lucknow Super Giants led by India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul. They have a solid team with Gautum Gambhir as their mentor alongside Andy Flower as the head coach. The other new franchise is the Gujarat Titans led by India all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

The Gujarat-based team has already earned a name for being one of the most exciting teams in IPL history. Starting from their captain to their coaching staff which includes former Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra along with World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten. Hence, the clash between these newcomers could be an incredible affair.

So, before their first IPL match, the Gujarat Titans shared a video that features captain Hardik Pandya, who is briefing the fans for what is to come in the next two months. The 28-year-old all-rounder talked about how the stage is set for an incredible season and is ready to take you through this journey.

He then continued about the goals and aspirations set by him for the coming days. Pandya expressed how he wants to emulate his ‘brother’ and former India captain MS Dhoni’s success in the IPL. Then, the Baroda boy mentioned how he wants to ‘own’ this space of winning and success like his hero Sachin Tendulkar.

Pandya continued mentioning the challenges he will face in this journey as he talked about taking on his sibling, Krunal Pandya; one of his best friends KL Rahul and many other close friends. He also voiced how the team may falter in this journey but would come back stronger and better to summit the peak of ‘Sporting Success’. He said, “team taraf thi 100 takka” which translates to ‘100% from the team’ and “mara taraf thi ek-so vees taka” which means ‘120% from my side’.

In the video, Hardik Pandya also references his past as he talked about his ban after the controversy on the talk show, ‘Koffee with Karan’ and his several back injuries, assuring the fans that he is the best man for the job as he has endured these hardships.
