Umran Malik has become everyone’s favorite in a very less time period with his ability to bowl at some serious pace. The pacer from Jammu and Kashmir made his name with his performances in IPL 2022. Malik took 22 wickets in 14 matches in the tournament and resultantly, got rewarded with a national call-up.
The 22-year-old was included in the national squad for the 5-match T20I series against South Africa. While Umran Malik looked impressive for his franchise, every Indian cricket team fan wanted to see him in the national colors. With India taking on South Africa in the 1st T20I on June 9, everyone expected Malik to find a place in the eleven. However, to everyone’s surprise, Malik missed to find a place in the playing eleven.
Umran Malik’s exclusion did not sit too well with Twitter users as they burst out in anger and criticized the team management for not picking the pacer in the eleven. “Jab Khilana hi nai tha to Team me kyu lia…!!” wrote one user.
