The ongoing Test series between India and England has raised a lot of eyebrows. Apart from the pitch, another issue that has got fans curious was the release of pacer Jasprit Bumrah from the squad. The 29-year-old speedster has been the lifeline of the Indian pace attack in the past few years. Therefore, releasing him from the squad a few days before the crucial final Test match against England did not sit well with fans. However, if the reports are to believed now, it was Jasprit Bumrah who took the leave to prepare for his marriage.

The news comes from a BCCI source and may be highly reliable, but there is no official confirmation yet. Notably, the 29-year-old featured in two of the three Test matches in the series. The bowler was a part of team in the first and the third Test, scalping a total of 4 wickets. Moreover, with new policies of BCCI and the upcoming wedding, the fans may miss their seamer even more. This is because Bumrah will not only miss the fourth Test, but will not be a part of white-ball games against England as well. The latter will happen due to the new guidelines by the Indian cricket board that focus on resting players as much as possible to avoid fatigue.
