Arizona Cardinals defensive end JJ Watt has once again won hearts as he stepped up to help fund the funeral of a woman’s grandfather from his hometown. In a Twitter post on Wednesday night, a woman named Jennifer Simpson, who is an Astros and Texans fan posted that she had a pair of J.J. Watt sneakers and a women's J.J. Watt jersey for sale.

Simpson then stated that she was only selling the shoes and T-shirts for helping her pay for her grandfather's funeral. As per local newspapers, Simpson’s family has been struggling financially and were attempting to raise funds every day since her grandfather died on 20 June. Seeing the post, where he was tagged, Watt stepped up and replied to Simpson asking her not to sell the gear. He then stated that he would help her pay for the funeral.

Jennifer Simpson tweeted, “I have a pair of @JJWatt womens edition of Reebok shoes size 9 $60. I’ve worn them twice. They are great shoes, im only selling because we are raising money for my grandpas funeral. I also have a Watt womens XL Texans Jersey $30. Anyone interested?” To this JJ Watt replied, “Don’t sell your shoes and jersey, we’ll help with the funeral. I’m sorry for your loss.”??

Talking about the game, Watt’s current team, the Arizona Cardinals have made a major off-season move as they re-signed their franchise quarterback Kyler Murray. The move sees Murray be a Cardinal till 2028. The deal would have $105 million fully guaranteed and $265 million total over the next seven seasons.

Talking about his extension, Murray said, "I'm an Arizona Cardinal. I've done nothing but give my all to the Cardinals and will continue to do that. I'm not really too worried about my future as a Cardinal."

Similarly, Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury talked about Murray's future and said, "(Kyler) is going to continue to get better. The contract deal I feel really good about. We know he's our future here. The talent, I've said it since I got here, is generational with what he can do running throwing the football."
