Multiple-time world champion John Cena while interacting with his fans to mark his 20th anniversary with WWE in a recent edition of RAW hinted at his possible comeback to the ring. The 45-year-old last had a fight with Roman Reigns in 2021 which was at the SummerSlam 2021 for the Universal Championship.

Since that, John Cena has been busy with his commitments in Hollywood movies. He was seen starring in the popular show Peacemaker which released in January 2022. Cena used the occasion to thank his fans who have supported him through thick and thin over the course of the last two decades.

The Cenation Leader mentioned that only the fans who cheered for him in the WWE circuit but even those who booed him helped him in a way to put up a better show and improve.

A tweet shared by WWE quoted him as saying: "For 20 years, you have created an environment for me to be my true self. You've also been brave enough to tell me when I suck and you've also been kind enough to tell me when I don't."

John Cena also made it clear that fans will get to see him in the ring again. While he did not announce any specific date for his return, he outlined that it would not be a one-off appearance and he will have several more contests inside the ring in the future.

With him making his potential return public, fans are now excited to know who John Cena chooses to be his opponent when indeed he makes a return.
