While Virat Kohli's struggle with the bat has been a topic of a lot of debate and discussion with several cricket experts and pundits extending their support to him and others questioning his place in the side, Pakistan captain Babar Azam, in a wonderful gesture of true sportsmanship, showed his support for Kohli on social media.

In his tweet dated July 15, Babar had shared a picture of himself along with the India captain from their meeting at the T20 World Cup 2021. He had captioned the post: "This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli." While Babar had not tagged Virat Kohli and former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi had suggested that Kohli should have responded to Babar's tweet, seems like Babar's message did reach the former India skipper who has now responded to the tweet.

Virat Kohli reciprocated the respect and warmth he received from Babar and in a one-liner as he mentioned: "Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best ?"

Notably, Virat Kohli hasn't breached the three-digit figures even once since 2019. Moreover, he has been getting out for low scores in recent outings with his average dropping across formats. He now has India's final ODI against England lined up after which he has decided to take a break from the West Indies tour comprising of the T20Is and the ODIs.

Virat Kohli fans will hope that he makes it count in this ODI itself so that the critics are silenced at least for the moment. Kohli is likely to be seen in action next in India's Asia Cup campaign.
