South African commentator Kevin Pietersen who was in India for the 14th edition of IPL posted a heartfelt message for the citizens of the country. He was the English commentator for IPL 2021, and following its suspension has flown back to his home country.

The 40-year-old message mainly catered to the his Indian fans, followers and countrymen. Pietersen posted the message in Hindi, wherein he urged them to stay safe in these trying times. Pietersen mentioned that though he may have left India, he cannot stop thinking about the country, which has given him so much love and affection. He reassured Indians that this phase will pass, but for the time being they have to be strong and safe to be able to battle against the pandemic.
