With the football summer transfer window wide open, Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Manchester United also looks uncertain. Although the Portuguese striker has 12 months of his contract left with the Red Devils, he may make a move to some other club. However, clarity on the same is awaited by football fans across the globe. Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen is also in that queue of fans who are eagerly waiting for an update on Ronaldo’s transfer.

Like all fans, Pietersen also has a destination in mind for Ronaldo where the Englishman will love to see the Portuguese. Pietersen on Monday revealed his preferred club for Ronaldo. The former England batter wants the 37-year-old Portuguese to join Premier League club, Chelsea. Pietersen revealed his choice through a Tweet. “All I want for my birthday is @Cristiano signing for @ChelseaFC,” wrote Pietersen.

Notably, Kevin Pietersen is friends with Chelsea legends like Ashley Cole, John Terry, and Frank Lampard. In fact, Pietersen even did his rehabilitation at the club, while he was recovering from his Achilles tendon injury. And being a hard-core Ronaldo fan, Pietersen wants his favourite star at his favorite club.

With Pietersen expressing his desire on the social media platform, many users also chipped in with a few comments. “Seems like my guy really dislikes Chelsea,” wrote one user in the comment section of the Tweet. “As good as @cristiano was we don’t want or need him at the bridge, too old for champions league football, let him stay with a europa league team,” wrote another user.

Notably, the 37-year-old returned to Old Trafford last year from Juventus in a £12 million deal. The Portuguese was expected to turn the fortunes around for the Red Devils and lead them to silverware once again. However, it could not happen as Man United made an early exit from the Champions League.

Although Ronaldo scored 18 goals (only five shies of joint Golden Boot-winners Mo Salah and Son Heung Min), Man United performed terribly ultimately leading to Ralf Ragnick making way for Erik Ten Hag.
