It was another shambolic batting performance by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as they were bowled out for a mere 101. None of the KKR batters except Andre Russell seemed to trouble LSG bowlers as they kept getting out one after the other. Andre Russell found himself alone in the chase as wickets fell regularly.
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowlers were as clinical as any top bowling unit. Mohsin Khan opened the floodgates with the wicket of Baba Indrajith. The left-arm quick got Indrajith with a quick short ball. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer also fell to a sharp bouncer from Chameera. In the middle overs, it was Avesh Khan all over KKR batters as the right-arm quick dismissed three of them. He also sneaked in a maiden over. Jason Holder finished it for LSG with three wickets in the 15th over.
