The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday officially confirmed that the remainder of IPL 2021 will be held in the UAE in the September-October window, with the final likely to be played on October 10. But it seems many overseas players might skip the tournament due to international commitments and the T20 World Cup, which will start on October 18 - just 8 days after the IPL final.

Pat Cummins to skip IPL 2021 in UAE: Reports

After reports of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine's unavailability in the second leg of IPL 2021, the news has emerged that Australian pacer Pat Cummins is likely to pull out of the tournament as well. The reason behind the decision could be Australia's busy schedule before the T20 World Cup.

Australia will tour West Indies for 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs in July, followed by a five-match T20I series against Bangladesh in August. However, the reports have confirmed that the pacer has not revealed the reason behind his unavailability.

“Cummins, despite a multimillion-dollar IPL contract, has already said he will not return to the T20 tournament this season,” a report in Australian newspaper Sydney Morning Herald said.
