The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday night announced the squad for the six white-ball games against West Indies starting from February 6. While Rohit Sharma returned as the captain for the ODI and T20I series, there were a few names that came as a surprise to cricket fans. Senior leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been given a chance to redeem himself in international cricket. Meanwhile, young wrist-spinner Ravi Bishnoi also got a maiden call-up for the ODI and T20I series.

Apart from these two names, one name was the most surprising for Indian Cricket team fans. While everyone was anticipating Rishi Dhawan and Shahrukh Khan's name for the white-ball series, it was Deepak Hooda who found a place in the ODI squad. And while many fans found it surprising, few were quick to drag Krunal Pandya into this.

After a few hours of the announcement of the news, Krunal Pandya started trending on Twitter along with Deepak Hooda. The Twitter users started sharing funny memes depicting senior Pandya's feelings after Hooda was selected in the ODI squad.

Check out some of the reactions from fans on Twitter:

Krunal Pandya's Twitter account hacked

Thursday morning saw a bizarre start to the day for Krunal Pandya whose Twitter account got hacked. After so many irrelevant tweets were shared from Pandya's account within an hour on Thursday morning, people suspected that his account was hacked. The Indian cricketer also confirmed the same and urged everyone to not reply to any such tweets on his account. However, it seemed Pandya was able to retrieve his account as all those tweets were deleted.

While some fans found the Tweets funny, some also took it as Pandya's reaction to Deepak Hooda's selection in the ODI squad.

Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda controversy

For those who are wondering why Krunal Pandya started trending after Deepak Hooda's selection in the ODI squad, the duo was engaged in controversy while playing for Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year. Reportedly, Krunal Pandya had used abusive language against Hooda which forced the latter to leave the squad. In a mail written to the Baroda Cricket Association, Hooda had alleged Pandya of "using abusing language in front of teammates and also other states teams who came for participation".
