Although Sri Lanka suffered a humiliating loss against England resulting in a series whitewash, a couple of Sri Lankan cricketers were seen enjoying on the streets in England. Namely, Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella were seen breaching the bio-bubble and spending time at a public place in Durham, right after the series defeat. A video of them sharing a smoking substance in public has gone viral and the Sri Lankan cricketers have faced massive backlash from the netizens.

In a recent development it has been found that Dickwella and Mendis will have to undergo an investigation for allegedly breaching the bubble. “An investigation is underway as they have breached the (code of) conduct," said SLC Chief Shammi Silva.

As per reports, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to bring back cricketers Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella after breaching the bio bubble and roaming around at a public place in England. In the video that has gone viral on social media, Mendis and Dickwella were seemingly intoxicated. Meanwhile, the two were trying to hide the smoking substance from the public; however it was visibly caught on camera.

The team had already faced criticism by former greats for their humiliating defeat, and now the fans are condemning their behaviour following their bio-bubble breach.

Netizens slammed the Sri Lankan cricketers for enjoying right after a disappointing performance on field. Fans further criticised the two cricketers by stating that such players don’t deserve to be in the team and should not be given a contract for their national side.
