Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi is one of the best pacers in world cricket. He has impressed everyone with his outstanding performance in formats of the game with his toe-wrecking yorkers, and his ability to take crucial wickets. The Pakistan pacer is currently in his best form due to which he is amongst the top four bowlers in ICC’s Test and ODI rankings, while he ranks 12th in the shortest format.
Due to his excellent performance on the international stage, Shaheen Afridi was trusted to lead Lahore Qalandars in the PSL 2022. The Qalandars, who had a turbulent beginning in the tournament as they finished at the bottom spot for four successive seasons hit the right chords in 2022 as they lifted their maiden PSL title under the leadership of Shaheen Afridi.
The left-arm fast bowler also became the youngest captain to win a major T20 league title when he led Lahore Qalandars to beat Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League 2022 final in Lahore. However, in the latest development, Lahore Qalandars’ CEO Atif Rana has gifted Shaheen Afridi a brand new car for his performance in the PSL 2022.
The franchise took to social media to share the video of the same.

Speaking about Shaheen Afridi, Rana said that the Qalanders’ skipper started his PSL career with us and we always believed in him due to which we decided to give him the captaincy. “Deep down we always knew that Shaheen had the right passion and confidence to lead the side. Eventually, we all saw the result, so this gift is the gesture to thank him for his performance and successful captaincy,” Rana quoted at the event.
Even the skipper expressed his gratitude towards the CEO by thanking the management for looking after him and complimenting his entire team for playing a role in winning their maiden PSL trophy. “I always feel proud to play for my own team, everyone supported me here and from the emerging category to the captaincy of Lahore Qalandars it’s all because of your support so thank you so much,” he said.
Franchise’s head coach Aqib Javed too showered praise on Shaheen Afridi by stating, “God blessed him with good skills, luck, and personality, we really feel proud to call him our captain and our leader.”
