Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen defeated Anthony Ginting in the opening singles game of the final of the Thomas Cup. Sen lost the first game 8-21 and then lead an incredible comeback giving India their first win of the finals. The game lasted for 65 minutes and Sen took off in the last two games as he won 21-17, 21-16.
This was Sen’s second consecutive win over the world number five Ginting. But throughout the game, the Indian shuttler was under constant pressure as his Indonesian opponent dominated in categories like Most consecutive points with 12, Rallies won with 54 and Total points won (54). Still Sen persisted and gave India a head start for scripting history.
What a comeback by @lakshya_sen including this crazy point 👀 He takes 🇮🇳 to a 1️⃣-0️⃣ lead.
