Los Angeles Lakers capped off a disappointing season riddled with injuries and underwhelming performances. Still, throughout this below-par season, the Lakeshow’s only slither of hope was a 39-year-old LeBron James, who has in scintillating form. James averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game for the season.

But as the Playoffs have rolled up, the King is missing out on playing basketball. He expressed his disappointment about not playing as he tweeted about it and said, “I can/will NOT miss the postseason again for my career! This shit HURT. Ok back to watching these games.”

LeBron James also tweeted in support of one of his best friends, Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul who had a great game against the New Orleans Pelicans. James tweeted, “POINT GOD you ain’t right!” as Chris Paul scored 28 points while providing 14 assists with zero turnovers.

Point God returns

Paul started the game slowly on the offensive end but in the fourth quarter, he turned into the ‘Point God’ as he scored 14 points and took the Valley Boys over the finish line. Thanks to this CP3 performance with Phoenix centre Deandre Ayton’s 28, the Suns took a 2-1 series lead after defeating the Pelicans 114-111.

After the match, Paul talked about the importance of this victory in the absence of their leading scorer Devin Booker. He said, “It’s a big win for us. We knew it was going to be by committee. When you come into this arena, we knew it would be tough, but everybody just pitched in tonight.”

“One of those players that plays the right way,” Williams

Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams also praised Chris Paul for an amazing performance in a clutch situation. Williams said, “He’s just one of those players that plays the right way. He understands the ‘when’ and ‘how’ to create for himself and others. The leadership qualities that you guys don’t see in the timeouts is just as impressive as what he does on the floor.”

For New Orleans, Brandom Ingram was the top player as he dropped 34 points with seven rebounds and two assists. He also pointed out how the Suns took good shots and said, “They attacked the open areas and got good looks, especially for Ayton. In the beginning of the game, CP did a good job getting to his spots.”
