Srilankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan is regarded as one of the best bowlers to have played the game. The right-arm off-spin wizard has a record of most wickets in international cricket as he scalped 1347 wickets, including 800 in Tests, 534 in ODIs and 13 in T20Is. Recently, Muralitharan shared a video in which his son, Naren, can be seen mirroring his father bowling action. The legendary spinner titled the video “Father and son time”.

While Sr. Muralitharan was a great spin bowler, his offspring is an all-rounder cricketer. Talking about the batting of the spin maestro, Murali scored nearly 2,000 runs for Sri Lanka in his career.

Muralitharan slams SL players for not signing central contracts

Recently, many senior players refused to sign the central contracts as the players complained of less transparency. However, Muralitharan slammed the decision of the players and went on record to say that the senior players are unwilling to sign the contract because they got less paid in the new performance-based system. The legendary spinner suggested that players now don't need a central contract, the board can go with tour contracts.

“This year we think they don’t need a central contract, we can go with tour contracts,” he had said.
