Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir picked his playing XI for the 2023 edition of the ICC ODI World Cup. Gambhir, who was a part of the 2011 ODI WC squad and played a key role in guiding India to their second ODI World Cup triumph, unveiled his squad for the marquee event.
While his squad is a blend of India's experienced and promising names, Gambhir excluded Shreyas Iyer from the team.

As per report by TOI, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul are going to be the only wicketkeepers in the squad. The report further suggests that as the Indian team lacks many choices for middle-order batters and wicketkeepers, Kishan, who has performed brilliantly in recent matches, becomes a key name.

As reported by PTI, KL Rahul is set to be included in India's 15-member provisional squad for the World Cup, which will be announced today. Rahul cleared a fitness test at the NCA and will be part of the Indian squad for the ODI World Cup.
