While earlier reports had suggested that BCCI was keen on hosting IPL 2022 in India, rising Coronavirus infections in India have forced the Indian cricket board to mull a possibility of taking the tournament overseas. Notably, the organisers had gone ahead with an IPL in India last year but had to stop midway when players started getting infected. That could play a big role in their decision this year.
