Silver medalist Bindyarani Devi has claimed that winning silver medal at CWG 202 is her ‘best performance’ and now she targets national games, World Championship, Asian Games and then the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In the Clean and Jerk lift category, Bindyarani lifted 110kg in her 1st attempt, failed to life 114kg in her 2nd attempt but surprised everyone as she lifted 116kg with ease to claim silver medal for India. She also set a Commonwealth Games record with her final clean and jerk lift in the women’s 55kg category.
