England pacer Mark Wood has expressed his desire to play in IPL 2022. He wants to work his T20 bowling skills and put up a better show in the T20 World Cup later this year for which the T20 franchise league could be the perfect preparation ground. “At the minute I’ll be in it. If I look ahead to the World Cup and I can learn something in the IPL, if I can put myself in pressure situations and try and get better for the end of the year, that’ll be good,” he was quoted as saying.
Earlier England Test captain Joe Root had also expressed his desire to play in IPL.
