Royal Challengers Bangalore are likely to name their new captain for IPL 2022 today (March 7). With Virat Kohli stepping down as captain after IPL 2021, the post has been left vacant. Reportedly, the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik and Faf Du Plessis are the frontrunners for the role.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will kick off their IPL 2022 journey under a new captain against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at DY Patil Stadium. RCB are placed in Group B along with Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. Apart from these four teams, RCB will face Rajasthan Royals twice as the two teams are placed in the same row.
