Reliance Industries Ltd through their broadcasting joint venture, Viacom 18 are expected to be aggressive in their bidding. Whereas Sony India and Zee Entertainment are also in merger talks but are set to bid separately. As quoted by Reuters: “Viacom 18 will probably be the most aggressive of the three main players, because this builds into their long-term plans, including upping valuation for a possible Jio IPO in the future.”
