Unlike the IPL player auctions which is a fast-paced process and the auctioneer is quick to put his hammer down, the media rights auction takes time. The parties are sometimes allowed a time of up to 30 minutes to make a bid before the hammer comes down. In this case, the process is easily expected to get over on Monday and hence an announcement of the winners will be made either late on Monday evening or Tuesday.
