Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has tested positive for COVID-19. The Lok Sabha member from East Delhi had been experiencing mild symptoms and has now entered into isolation. Gambhir took to social media to inform about the development. Gambhir also requested his close contacts to get tested for the same.
"After experiencing mild symptoms, I tested positive for Covid today. Requesting everyone who came into my contact to get themselves tested," the cricketer-turned-politician tweeted.
Notably, he was recently roped in as the mentor of new Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Lucknow Super Giants.
