Two new teams Ahmedabad and Lucknow have finally revealed their three draft picks ahead of IPL 2022 Mega Auction. However, fans are eagerly waiting for both franchises to reveal their team name and jersey. While Lucknow have asked the fans to help decide their team's name, the Ahmedabad franchise have hired an agency to decide the name for their side.
While they are no new update on teams' names, according to our sources, Lucknow team are set to go with the colour purple for their official match jersey. Notably, Kolkata Knight Riders also don a jersey that has purple and gold colours in it. So, is Lucknow are going with the same purple? Well, it hasn't been revealed yet.

Meanwhile, BCCI Vice President Jay Shah on Saturday confirmed that IPL 2022 is set to kick-off in the last week of March and the auction will take place on February 12 and 13. Jay Shah also said that the board is trying their level best to conduct the entire tournament in India.
"I am delighted to confirm that the 15th season of the IPL will start in the last week of March and will run until May end," Shah said
"A majority of the team owners expressed their wish that the tournament be held in India. The BCCI was always keen on staging the 2022 edition that will see two new teams - Ahmedabad and Lucknow - in India. I can tell you that we will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the IPL stays in India. The BCCI has not compromised on the health and safety of its stakeholders in the past and will concurrently work on Plan B since the COVID-19 situation with new variants remains fluid," he further added.
