Sixth game, sixth defeat. Five-time champions Mumbai Indians are having an unforgettable outing in IPL 2022. The Rohit Sharma-led team were denied their first win by Lucknow Super Giants. It was another horrible performance from the Men in Blue as they conceded 199 runs in their 20 overs. Tymal Mills' expensive spell of three overs hurt MI too much.
After dreadful bowling, MI openers failed yet again to give their team a good start. Both Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan departed cheaply. Dewald Brevis did some fireworks but it was insufficient. Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a partnership yet again but both batters succumbed to the pressure.
