Belgium will take on Malta in a five-match bilateral T20I series from July 8. This series between the two European nations was originally scheduled to take place in April 2021. But it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Belgium is currently ranked 43 in the ICC Men's T20I team rankings while Malta is at 58th position. Moreover, this series will provide good preparation to both the teams for the ICC qualifiers, scheduled to be held later this year.
