Pakistan's win over India in their campaign opener at the ongoing world event saw the Men in Green ending their 29-year-long wait of beating their arch-rivals in World Cup. While the whole Pakistan was rejoicing the unprecedented victory, things went quite haywire in India as many fans criticised the Men in Blue heavily.

While constructive criticism is always welcome in a game, some crossed their limits to target players on the basis of religion and other offensive topics. Not only this, some stooped so low that they even failed to notice what they were doing, these included giving rape threats to Virat Kohli's 10-month old daughter.

Weeks after the game, a person in connection with the offence of giving rape threat to Kohli's daughter has been arrested. The arrested accused named Ramnagesh Alibathini is 23 years old and has been nabbed by the cyber cell of Mumbai Police.

"Mumbai Police Cyber Cell arrests a man from Hyderabad for giving online rape threats to daughter of an Indian cricketer following team's loss against Pakistan in T20 World Cup. The man, identified as one 23-year-old Ramnagesh Alibathini, is being brought to Mumbai," said the city police as quoted by ANI.

India out of tournament, Pakistan in semi-final

Despite performing beautifully in the later half of the tournament, India failed to clinch a semi-final spot at T20 World Cup 2021. Their embarrassing loss to Pakistan followed by a similar defeat at the hands of New Zealand played a key role in them getting knocked out of the competition. Pakistan, meanwhile, advanced to the knockout stage comfortably by winning all the five games played in the round-robin stage and topping the points table. They play their semi-final game against Australia on November 11 at Dubai International Stadium.

Talking about Pakistan vs India game, the Green Brigade had defeated Kohli and company by 10 wickets and that loss hadn't gone down well with the Indian fans. As a result, not only Virat, Shami was also targeted that too on the basis of religion. Apart from these two, other players who played the game and failed to perform had too bear the brunt of all that.
