Match 16 of IPL 2022 between Delhi and Lucknow turned out to be a thriller with Lucknow losing the plot in the end. After looking in control for most of the time in the game, LSG chase looked in danger when Shardul Thakur and Mustafizur bowled some tight lines in the 18th and the 19th over. A six from Krunal released the pressure a bit but the chase got tense with Deepak Hooda succumbing to Shardul Thakur.
Delhi were looking to build the pressure but young sensation Ayush Badoni had some other plans. The 22-year-old walked into bat when 5 runs were required off 5 balls. Badoni came, and hit a boundary and a six to finish the game for his team. Earlier, Quinton de Kock impressed with his brilliant 80 off 52 balls.
Meanwhile, DC were always short of 15-20 runs although the pitch was a bit sluggish. This thrilling contest between LSG and DC was enjoyed thoroughly by Twitter as they shared their emotions as the game progressed.
