It has hardly been four months to the loss India suffered at the hands of the Kiwis in the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship. Before the wounds could be healed, India lost yet another crucial game to the Black Caps and this time at the 2021 T20 World Cup. Now, the two sides will be up against each other in bilateral series consisting of three T20Is, which will be followed by two Tests.

While both the sides have already announced the squads for the same, they won't be having much time to prepare for the contests, especially the longer format ones. The T20Is kick off on November 17 while the first Test of the two will begin on November 25. Given India have lost all the three most recent Tests played against the Kiwis, the preparation this time from Virat Kohli and company needs to be done in a better way.

According to reports, a preparatory camp of around one week will be organised for India's New Zealand-bound Test players. This is after a long time that the BCCI will be arranging such a camp for the players. While the first Test between the sides will be played at Kanpur's Green Park, the second game will take place at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

"We will also be hosting a preparatory camp at the Bandra-Kurla Complex from Monday to give the players a proper chance to get ready for the series," a source within MCA told ANI.

Here is India's Test squad for New Zealand series:

Ajinkya Rahane (captain), Cheteshwar Pujara (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Wriddhiman Saha (WK), KS Bharat (WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Jayant Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna

The likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha and Umesh Yadav will be a part of the  camp as they are not in the T20I squad of India for the series against Kiwis. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli will also join the squad for second Test.
