The curtain-raiser of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just four days away. While all teams are all set to start their IPL 2022 campaign, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are still searching for Mark Wood's replacement. The England pacer has been ruled out of the entire tournament with an elbow injury.

Many names have surfaced up as Wood's replacement, but the management has not yet finalized a name. KL Rahul also gave away a cheeky reply when he was asked about who is going to replace Wood in the LSG squad. On a show on Sports Tak, when Rahul was asked about the pacer's replacement, Rahul said he himself will bowl and has already started his practice. "Me dalunga fast bowling, I'm practicing fast bowling," said Rahul.

Lucknow to start IPL 2022 campaign against Gujarat Titans

The KL Rahul-led franchise will begin its campaign against another new team this season i.e Gujarat Titans on 28 March. The franchise has formed a decent squad and eyes a fabulous campaign under the leadership of KL Rahul and mentorship of Gautam Gambhir. They had picked Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi ahead of the auction.
