Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw shared a fan made image of his journey from being a subject matter of various memes to making his dream a reality on Instagram. The post had the lines of rapper Divine's song which said, "Edit Karke image tune mera meme bana dia, mehnat karke tere bhai ne poora dream bana dia." Shaw shared the story after a record-shattering double-century in a Vijay Hazare encounter.

Notably, Shaw brought up his maiden List A double hundred in the match between Mumbai and Puducherry, reaching the 200-mark in 142 deliveries at a strike rate of 140.85. The 21-year-old hit 27 boundaries and four sixes during his knock and is the fourth batsman to get a double hundred in the history of the One-Day domestic tournament. In addition, Shaw's unbeaten 227 is not only the highest score for a captain in men's List A cricket but is also the highest individual score in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The youngster last represented the Indian Team during their recently concluded four-match Test series in Australia. However, following a string of low scores, he had been dropped and was subject to a lot criticism. It was during this phase that a lot of memes on him were going viral on Internet. But the Delhi Capitals star has now silenced his critics in style with the help of a massive double century.

Shaw would look to continue this form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to come back in the reckoning for the Indian side. After Shaw being dropped, Shubman Gill was handed an opportunity and has already scored three half-centuries in a short span. Along with Rohit Sharma, he currently forms India's preferred opening pair in the longest format of the game.
