The second El Clasico of IPL 2022 made headlines but for some strange reasons. With so much excitement around the game, IPL fans were expecting a thriller between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. But all the excitement and buzz were cut short by a strange happening in the game.

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked CSK to bat first. Daniel Sams bowled the first over and with the ball doing its bit, CSK opener Devon Conway missed one and got hit on his leg. He was then adjudged LBW. With a doubt in his mind, Conway walked up to the umpire to ask for a referral but to Conway’s and every IPL fan’s shock, there was no DRS available due to a power cut in the stadium.

It was a strange thing that was hard to believe by fans across the country. CSK fans, in particular, were irked to see their in-form batter walking back to the pavilion for such a small reason. And as a result, IPL fans took to Twitter to bash out their anger at BCCI and IPL organizers. While some expressed shock about the fact that there was no backup in such a big tournament, some blamed MI.
