These speculations came after a social media conversation took place between Gaikwad and Marathi actress Sayali Sanjeev. Recently, the actress posted a few pictures on Instagram, to which Gaikwad promptly replied ‘Woahh’. The Marathi actress also responded to the cricketer’s comment with a few heart emojis. This short social media exchange was enough for netizens to make all sorts of speculations about their relationship after the Instagram conversation went viral on social media.

Putting an end to the relationship speculations between him and the popular Marathi actress, Gaikwad opened up to silence the rumours. The cricketer posted a story on Instagram that only bowlers can take his wicket that too clean bowled. “Only bowlers can take my wicket that too clean bowled. Not anyone else. And whoever wanted to understand, have understood.” He posted in Marathi with a few laughing emojis, giving a sarcastic and fun tone to his response.
Gaikwad was a key member of CSK’s squad in IPL 2021, forming a stable partnership with in-form Faf Du Plessis. The young gun smashed 196 runs in the 7 matches, with a strike rate of 128 including 2 fifties, making him one of the integral members of CSK in the top order, which was one big reason for CSK’s success and dominance in this edition of IPL.
