The 29th match of IPL 2022 played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) turned out to be a thriller as both teams gave their everything on the field. After being put into bat first, Chennai Super Kings put 169/5 on the board on the back of a fine half-century from Ruturaj Gaikwad. The opening batter scored a brilliant 48-ball 73. Gaikwad was ably supported by Ambati Rayudu who scored 46 off 31 balls.
CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja provided a late flourish as he amassed 22 runs off just 12 balls. CSK also had a great start with the ball as they reduced GT to 16/3 in the first four overs. Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar were dismissed for ducks. Saha struggled but could not last long and was eventually dismissed for 11 off 18 balls.
With four wickets down early in the innings, GT looked in a spot of bother. But they found a savior in David Miller who scored a brilliant 94* off just 51 balls. Miller was falling alone in the chase but the captain for tonight's game Rashid Khan stepped up to the occasion and scored 40 off 21 balls before perishing to Dwayne Bravo.
With 13 required off the last over, it was all on David Miller to finish things off and the batter did not disappoint as he sealed the game for GT with one ball to spare. With this win, GT made it five wins in six games for them. Meanwhile, CSK faced their fifth defeat of the season. With the game going like a seesaw, Twitter users found some humor.
