Australian cricketer David Warner is one of the most lethal batters globally. Warner represented the Delhi franchise in an ongoing Indian Premier League and carried on his top form in the month-long tournament. He amassed 432 runs in 14-games, which included five half-centuries.

After Delhi Capitals failed to qualify for the Playoffs following the defeat against Mumbai Indians in their last league stage game, Warner has left the IPL bubble and reached his home, i.e. Australia and enjoying his free time before commencing his national duties.

In one of his recent appearances on Fox Cricket, Warner opened up on his association with Delhi Capitals and about the passionate fan base franchises in the league enjoys. Warner revealed that CSK, RCB and MI have the maximum fan following.

“Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, these three teams have an enormous loyal fan base. No matter where they are playing, in-home ground or away, the stadium will be packed with their fans. And you can easily hear franchise’s name being chanted aloud by the crowd,” he said.

Commenting on his association with the Delhi franchise, Warner said he felt like being in a family as some similar faces were there in the dressing room. “Ricky Ponting is the head coach; Shane Watson is there. It always feels like a family. The franchises take care of every player. Little things are being taken care of,” he revealed. The dynamic batter also heaped praise on Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant and lauded him for leading a franchise in such a highly-competitive tournament.

“He is a young talented cricketer; he has huge potential and will surely do amazing things for Indian cricket. He plays fearless cricket and knows how to lead a team with quality players. It was an amazing thing to observe him closely,” he added.
