Minecraft includes a feature known as frost water enchantment, which temporarily freezes the water into ice so that the players can walk around it. Recently, a Minecraft Redditor discovered a technique that’ll fascinate the troll players of the game. The Redditor by the name of u/ThanosCondom69, who was the original poster (OP) discovered that when walking over a player, who has jumped into the water, the frost water enchantment feature will not allow them to return to the surface. The OP tested this on his friend, which resulted in his apparent drowning.

It began when the OP was playing around with a friend and the latter jumped into the water. Following this, the OP used frost water enchantment to trap his friend underwater, as it temporarily froze into ice, which made it impossible for his friend to come out. Eventually, the friend drowned, and their items dramatically flew onto the ice.

Redditors react to post

The post received a lot of engagement on Reddit, with over 36k upvotes within 24 hours. Players were intrigued and thrilled by the technique and had a lot to say.

Reacting to these responses, OP also clarified why the friend couldn’t break through the ice or swim away. Unless Minecraft players have the depth strider enchantment on their armour, swimming underwater is next to impossible. This means that the friend had no chance of escaping unless they were crafty.
